The health and well being of our guests is our top priority and I want to reassure guests of the diligence of our approach in keeping you as safe as possible.
The Old Dairy is always maintained to an extremely high standard but we have now implemented an even stricter protocol of cleaning throughout the Dairy. I will be introducing a two stage cleaning process for every changeover at the Dairy. This will consist of a full deep clean throughout and a second sanitation clean of the property, paying particular attention to all surfaces i.e. door handles, shower room, cloakroom, tiled floor areas and hard surfaces. All bed linen including the pillows and quilt will be removed and replaced after every changeover for complete sanitation. There will be a reduced number of books and maps which will again be replaced. The dining chairs will be changed along with steamer cushions and outside cushions.
Entry to The Old Dairy is via the use of the key-safe box outside the property and this allows a complete self-check in process for all guests. I will no longer come round to welcome guests upon arrival and only come round if requested, and if absolutely necessary, to minimise non-essential interactions at the property. If a problem needs to be fixed and entry is required, this would be done once guests have vacated the property for the time required. I will also wear a mask and gloves and remove outside footwear.
We are also requesting that all shoes and outdoor footwear be removed and stored in the outside shoe box and not to wear any outdoor footwear inside the Dairy. There is also a hand sanitiser dispenser outside the Dairy to use every time you enter the property. This is refilled on each changeover, however if it runs low during your holiday please text me for it to be refilled.
I will sadly not be able to provide a homemade hamper for guests during this time but will endeavour to provide a shop bought cream tea and milk in its place.
Guests can book with confidence that the Dairy will be deep cleaned and sanitised ready for the start of their holiday. The arrival time is now from 4 pm on wards and the six hour cleaning window allows for the cleaning process to be adhered to and guests can feel confident of the high standard implemented.
If however any guest wishes to allow a longer period between previous guests I can offer a 24 hr delay before the start of your holiday. Although this would reduce your stay to 6 nights, the tariff would be adjusted accordingly.
In addition to the above changes I am asking all guests to adhere to thorough hand washing using the antibacterial soaps provided at each basin within the Dairy. We are asking for your help to use these as often and as thoroughly as possible. In addition to this I have provided Dettol laundry cleanser, Dettol 3 in 1 spray and antibacterial wipes for your use during your holiday.
Please also use the tissues provided if you sneeze or cough, please bin it straight away and follow with the hand washing routine recommended by the government.
We would ask all guests to self-monitor for any symptoms before or during your holiday and to follow the advice from local authorities and the government. To seek medical assistance and inform us immediately.
No additional visitors will be allowed at the property during your stay.
I hope that all of the above measures will give confidence in our meticulous approach, providing you with clear advice along with the safety measures put in place ready for your holiday. As the Dairy is detached, self-contained and in a quiet rural location for two guests we hope you can feel confident to have a holiday where you will be able to completely relax and enjoy the accommodation provided with the chance of some good fresh air in a haven away from it all.
